What an excititng time in history today the new president of the United States was sworn in and it was a very historic event. I
am so happy that our new president is such a wonderfull man full of visions of peace for the country and for the world people all around the world are
rejoicing. Its about time that a good man was voted in to power.

That was an amazing inauguration. I went through hell and back to see it though.
Now that I can laugh about it... I woke up this morning to find a small amount of snow on the ground, which is usually enough to put our entire town out of business: Citizens: OMGSNOWFLAKE! AAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIEEEEEEEE! *all start boarding up their houses* But today? Every college closed it's doors except for MINE... which instead put me on a delayed schedule... meaning that my 11:00 class moved to 12:10... meaning that I was surely going to miss "the moment". Yeah. Fortunately, my Professor is either snowphobic or heavily Pro-Bama. She e-mailed us last second and announced that we got the whole day off. ^_^ Then about ten minutes before he was sworn in, we accidentally hit a button on our remote that takes us to our Sirius radio setting... and it WOULDN'T. GO. BACK. O_O O_O O_O *insert thirty to forty-five seconds of running around the house like a chicken with her head cut off* All I have to say is, thank goodness for old-school rabbit ears. Never ever let me down... though the color was a bit wonky. Obama was bright orange. o_O GOBAMA! *blows kisses to my president*

wow i have to say that i am surprised at the low response to this thread lol I am Canadian and it seems like i am more excited
about the new president than a lot of u Americans. I really expected a lot more patrionism from the American people tsk tsk tsk..

Oh my gosh! I'm soo stoked for our new President!
 I was soo excited! I can't believe I was able to witness such a great part of history! I mean
I'm going to be able to tell my kids that I watched the first African American President get sworn in! I was smiling the whole day! I really wish I could
have been there to see it happen live but I won't complain watching it on t.v! Lol. I loved seeing Obama and his wife just walk down the street waving to
everyone. He deserves this so much and I know he will do a lot of good for the US. Even though he's officially President now, it's weird, because when
I see him on t.v or read stuff about it him it doesn't seem like he is our President, but just another person. I think that's one of the main reasons I
like him so much, he relates to people alot and he's so down to earth. Like when he slightly stumbled when taking his oath, he just laughed it off and
continued. For once the President acts human! . But yeahh I'm very happy for him and I just hope people give him the chance that he deserves to show he
can make some changes, yes it will take time, but it is possible!  Congrats Mr. President!

I'm personally just as happy I wasn't there, sub-zero cold and 1 porta-potty per 5000 people just isn't my scene XDDDDD It was just as fun watching
it on TV, lol! I actually watched most of it in my college's student lounge, which I've never seen so full in two years, everyone was very excited so
it was a nice atmosphere.
Congratulations to him!

congrats to Obama and his family, this will be the first president who will have a direct way on me i will be 18while he still has 2 years left so this
election meant alot to me and to see it as the first african american i am so happy...
