I think I might be postponing this story for a while. Im thinking about writing a new one, but I will eventually update this one.

Chapter 62
It had been three days since my surgery. I was pronounced cancer free, which was a huge relief off my shoulders. This disease was gone, and I could finally breathe. Next week, I'm flying back to Vegas where I belong. I wanted to make the red eye tonight, but Gracie thought it would be wise to stay here for a few days before I make the pilgrimage to Vegas. I stared at the ceiling, suddenly finding myself staring at Criss as he talks business to his management back home. I remembered the ring on my left hand, something that had weighed heavy on my mind. I was not ready for this commitment just yet. Criss and I needed to work out our kinks before commiting to each other whole heartedly. "Yeah, Ok. Ok, alright. I'll see you in a couple of days. Alright, bye." Criss hung up the phone and trampled back to my bedside. "Hey you." He gently kissed my forehead. "Hey." I smiled. I knew what I had to say. I needed to say it. "Criss…" He swung around with question in his face. "Yeah?" "Can we… talk about something?" I was hesitant. The look on his face had changed. He was expecting the worse. "It's nothing bad, I promise." He leaned closer to me. "Ok." I started to spill out as I looked at the ring and then back at him. "This… it's on my hand because of fear. I know it is. I said yes because… because I was scared." "So it wasn't out of love." He questioned. "Babe, yes… it was. I love you very much… but we both know this engagement was from a push of terror. We both know now is not the time to be thinking of marriage. There's still thing we, you know… need to work out." He sighed and looked out the balcony door. "Yeah, I know." I touched his face so he could meet my gaze. "I love you, Ok? This doesn't change anything. If and when I marry you, I want it to be right and… just, I want it to feel… right…" I started to ramble until his finger covered my mouth and he smiled. "I get it, baby. I understand. We've got all time in the world. I can wait…" He smiled, so did I. He kissed me, I felt complete again.
