Ok before I start this story I want to say that this is my first fanfic I ever posted here so I would love to hear your comments and what you think.I'm
not sure how I want this story to end so I'm still working on it and will add more as I go along. I'm not putting any chapters on it I'm just gonna
put titles like ''At the dance" so as each seen changes it will be A different part to the story if that makes since to anyone just my way of
writeing.

Angel in disguise

Maria was A 16 year old out cast she was quiet and timid and always kept to herself .She had A hard time making friends because some of the kids would make fun of her because she was A slow learner and every time she would try to talk or make friends they would just make fun of her more and even call her names. Especially this group of four boys Kevin , Mark ,Matt and Jeff. Kevin was always the instigator in fact you might as well say he was the leader of the pack . He was popular captain of the football team and thought he was above everyone and anyone below his standards were dirt to him . He would always pick on
Maria and call her names for no apparent reason. Well he had A reason to him she was weak and just an easy target witch he took advantage of and of course the guys would always follow along with him saying more insults to her and harassing her day in and day out it would never end.
These boys had most of the classes with Maria witch didn't make the day any easier for her because they kept calling her names and would not leave her alone .Every time they saw her walk down the hall they would still call her names and would humiliate her in front of everyone .
Well not everyone Christopher Sarantakos was on the same football team as Kevin.
He didn't understand why Kevin was so cruel to Maria .He choose not hang around Kevin and his little gang because they were just immature and needed to grow up. He hated seeing what Maria went threw everyday with Kevin constantly harassing her. So to make the day alittle better for her he would always say hi to her and give her A smile.
Maria wanted so bad to fight back at Kevin but she was scared to and didn't want any trouble. So she just ignore them but on the inside she felt worthless from there insults and had low self esteem. Maria didn't trust anyone and stop trusting people because every time someone promised her something she was always let down. Maria's father was A good example . He left her when she was A baby he was never a part of her life and chose not to be which was for the better because he was bad news.
Maria was raised by her mom and grandparents she came from A good and loving family and had A great upbringing . No matter what or how bad she felt Maria always stayed positive and always thought positive and stayed strong because she knew one day good things were goanna come for her she didn't know when but one day it was goanna happen.
Maria was sitting in the lunch room at her usual spot by her self .When Criss came up to the table and said hi! How are you?
Good said Maria.
Mind if I sit here?
No said Maria.
Maria didn't think anything of Criss and continued eating her lunch . Well she pretended like she didn't but on the inside she couldn't help but have A bit of A crush on Criss he was always nice to her plus she thought he was the most gorgeous guy to grace this earth .Maria finished her lunch when she got up to put her tray away she got A good look at Criss there was something fascinating about him she didn't know what it was but there was something about him.
Little did Maria know that Criss had A crush on her .Criss always admired the way Maria always stayed posstive and never let those guys get to her she never said A word to them and just kept walking.
Maria went to sit down and dug out her KISS book out of her bag .
You like KISS ? Asked Criss .
Yep said Maria.
That's so cool you know that's one of my favorite bands.
Oh yeah ?
Yeah plus there's other bands I like .
What other bands do you like ?
Ozzy , Motley Crue the list goes on .
Cool I like them to but my three favorites are The Beatles ,KISS , and Queen.
That's so cool I like verity .
Criss and Maria got to talking and had A great conversation and from that day on they became friends .They had so much in common with each other they were the same age there personality s were similar there tastes in music were similar ,they even dressed similar and it was by accident .They were almost like twins.
One day at lunch Maria was sitting at her and Criss's usual spot at the table when Criss asked Maria.
You know the homecoming dance is coming up right?
Yeah?
Well…..I was thinking if you're not doing anything that night would you like to go?
Maria was surprised almost in shock did she hear him right?
What are you ok?
Um….can you repeat what you just said.
I asked you would like to go to the dance with me?
Yeah…I mean yes I would love to go.
Great then its looks like we have ourselves A date then.
Maria was still shocked did Criss just asked me out? Yes he did I don't believe it I didn't think he would ever ask me out I didn't think he was interested in me. Well maybe he's not he's just being nice to me as A friend that's all he can have any girl he wants why would he be interested in me were just friends and nothing more.

Maria was getting ready for the dance with the assistance of her mom.
Wow this dress looks even better here then at the store as Maria's mom helped her with her knee length off the shoulder dark turquoise dress covered in silver and star sequins with silver heels to match .Thanks for finding it for me mom.
Your welcome sweetie I know what you like. Your friend Criss seems like A very nice young man. I can't wait to meet him.
Your gonna love him mom he is such A sweetie .
I know I will you have good judgment. Well it looks like your all set here except for one more little thing.

I bought A little extra surprise for you. Now turn around and close your eyes .
Maria did so. Her mom went into the closet and pulled put A metallic silver purse with the KISS logo on it in black and with there faces on it in black.
Turn around and open your eyes .
Wow! Mom you didn't have to get that for me you already bought my out fit that was enough .How did you get that ?
I got it the day we were shopping while you were in the store looking I went to the store next to it found the purse and hid it well in the closet.

Maria and her mom were waiting in the front room for Criss .The door bell ranged Maria answered it.
Hey! You look so nice as Criss stood in the doorway in A black suit with A black shirt and A white tie and black shoes .
Thank you , you look nice yourself .
Criss could not believe what he was seeing when he saw Maria all dressed up. He always thought she was pretty in the first place but when he saw her tonight. He thought she was the most gorgeous girl on the planet and was proud to have her as his date.
Come in I want to introduce you to my mom. Mom this is Criss Criss this is my mom.
Nice to meet you Ms. Shepard .
Nice to meet you to Criss and please call me Josephine. So you're the nice young man my daughter has been telling me about.
Yes mam. And I assure you your daughter will be in good hands tonight.
Well that's good but you just remember were to keep your hands at got it. She's all I have and I want her to be safe.
Oh yes mam you have nothing to worry about .She will be well taken care of I promise.
That's fine that's all I ask. Now then Maria the dance ends at 11 I want you fome no later than twelve ok?

This is for you Josephine as Criss handed Maria's mom A set of flowers. And this if for you Maria as Criss wrapped A strand of flowers around Maria's wrist.

Just to let everyone know so I won't leave anyone hanging here I will update this story as soon as I can I start my new job monday so next week is gonna be kind busy for me so I may not be on here to update much plus I will be going to bed much earlyer because I have to get up early and also I have school in the day time so like I said I may not be on here to much to update but will

Sorry I didn't update this like I said I would.I just started my new job about four weeks ago.So my shchuldle has been kinda crazy.

Shall we? Said Criss as he extended his arm to Maria as they entered the gymnasium.
You are such A gentleman thank you. Wow they really did A great job on decorating said Maria.
Yeah you would never know this was A gym said Criss. My brothers helped put up the decorations .

I just wanted to tell you that you looked nice tonight and I wanted to apologize for everything that I've said to you and all the humiliation I put you threw. Will you accept my apology?
Kevin you have no idea what you put me threw. for two years I put up with your stuff .Your name calling, Your insults, Your harassment and everything else and you expect me to forgive you just like that? Why all of sudden are you being nice to me? You could've said you were sorry A long time ago. Why now?
Kevin just looked at her in shock at what she just said to him. Maria just looked at him and shook her head Huh? You can't even give me A strait answer ?Your just standing there looking at me like I'm from mars or something. You know what your just making A fool of your self and your just wasting my time. Believe me it will be A long time before I ever trust you Kevin but most likely it will be never so don't count on it.
Now if you will excuse me I'm going to go dance with my date.
Maria and Criss were out on the dance floor dancing .
What in the world was that all about with Kevin? asked Criss.
I don't know said Maria but I'm not going to buy into it I don't trust him. To be honest I smelled A rat from the time he came up to us from the time he left. Just today hours before this dance even started he was doing his usual stuff to me in math class. Now tonight he's all of A sudden he's being Mr. nice guy to me and wasn't even sincere about it . Did you hear the tone in his voice and how he said all that nonsense to me. I didn't believe any of it I knew he was lying the whole time. He must have thought I was stupid enough to believe all that stuff. Little did he know I wasn't going to put up with his stuff no more and finally once and for all put him in his place. I just didn't care anymore I had to say it.
I know said Criss I knew he was lying the whole time. You handled yourself well with him. I'm proud of you for standing your ground and not backing down from him. You don't have to take his stuff no more. I'll see to that .
That's very nice of you to say Criss but I don't want you getting in trouble because of me. Besides he's not worth it. He's just looking for A fight .You're a much bigger person than he his .
I know .Its just not right no one should treat any body like that. Especially A guy picking on A girl. I mean c'mon how pathetic is that .You such A nice girl I don't get why he's being mean to you. And on top of that he told you all that nonsense tonight .I bet I know why he told you all that stuff tonight.

He saw you all dressed up and made up and how beautiful you looked tonight and he probably wished he was never mean to you . I bet he wished you were his date tonight but that his loss .He missed out on A very nice and spectacular girl .
Maria was taken aback A bit by what Criss said to her she was quite touched by it. No body has ever said that to me before never . He meant it to he was looking me strait in the eye and I could tell by the tone of his voice. He either cares for me as A friend or ……is he really interested in me ? I'm not sure and what if he is ? Should I take A chance with him and risk getting my feelings hurt if he finds another girl or should I just trust him and just take A chance? You know what for get all that .I'm just going to trust him and just take A chance with him if it happens what do I have to loose.
Maria and Criss stayed silent and just danced most of the night and just enjoyed each others company. Little did Maria know what Criss was thinking.
Should I ask her to be my girl friend ? I don't know I don't want to scare her off she'll probably think I'm crazy .Wait I am crazy .Crazy in love with her but we've only been friends for only four months now .Is it to soon ? Is it the right time? What if she rejects me? I don't know man I'm confused. You know what I'm just going to take A chance and just ask her all she can say is yes or no. What do I have to loose.
Maria and Criss continued to dance when the principle step to the stage to make an announcement.
Can I have everyone's attention please .We would like to announce the home coming Queen and King.
(drum roll) This years home coming Queen is….
Hear it goes Maria sighed.

What?! Me? How the heck? There's got to be some type of mistake here.
Well go on up there Criss told Maria.
Maria went up to the stage to receive her crown.
Congratulations the principle told her.
Maria just stood there on the stage as the principle was getting ready to announce the Homecoming king.
She could not believe what just happened to her. I never won anything in my life how the heck did this happened? Was this A set up ? No it can't be the teachers were eyeing those ballad boxes like hawks all week. I don't know how this happen but I'm going to enjoy it while I can. I wonder who the king is going to be lord I hope its not Kevin he wins these darn things every year there's no way in heck I'm dancing with him .Please don't be Kevin please don't be Kevin.
This years Homecoming King is (drum roll)…………
Man I hope its not Kevin he always win these things Said Criss.

Well I can tell you this .This will be A night I will remember. Thanks for sticking up for me with Kevin tonight.Thanks for treating me like A person and not some joke and always being nice to me when Kevin was always cruel to me and thank you for being there for me and giving me the corage to stand up to Kevin.It really meant the world to me.And most of all thanks for being my friend.
