Fellow Loyals there is a Whale at the Miami Seaquarirum, she is named Lolita , after being caught by whalers and sold to the Seaquarium for $6,000 back in the
1970's she has been preforming there since then 2 times a day EVERY day. Her tank size is illegal all though the USA APHIS is not doing anything about it,
I think we can change that Tomorrow starting at about 9 am I will be calling the following person and i urge you to do the same, enough calls mean that they
have to and will do something or at least relook at it. Please animal lovers call the following number to try and free Lolita the Killer and soon to be killed
Whale. Dr. Barbara Kohn USDA, APHIS Animal Care 4700 River Rd., Unit 84 Riverdale, MD 20737-1228 ph 301 734 8271 fax 301 734 4978 Ask why they continually
allow Miami Seaquarium to operate Thank you.

Sorry for this Bump
After months of talking/arguing with the USDA, they are claiming the Whales tank ( Lolita ) Is in proper size and does break any laws. I am posting a picture of her in her tank right below this sentence.
<< Is the actual size of the tank, She is 22 feet long and nearly 8,000 Pounds.
This is pure cruel to Her, she is 40 years old, Most Orcas do not live to past 40-90 years she is near the end, she has not seen another orca in over 10 years, very depressing and stressful for her. I dont want to sound like a Free Willy remaker but it sounds like the park is just waiting for her to die and collect the insurance money. There is not alot We can do alone but if we spread the word more and more people will become known about it. Say we are 3 people, we each tell three people on one day then they tell three people each, so on and so forth imagine how many people will become known and aware of this with in just a few months!! Celebrities know about this issue and act on it, please help me tell people and make them aware of this horrid issue. One last picture........ RESIZE LARGE PHOTOS OR DO NOT POST THEM.

As cruel as this is. Could this poor whale actually survive again in the wild? Is she healthy and strong enough? Since that is what happened to the last whale
they set free after being kept for so long.
Maybe a better thing would be to get them to build a lot bigger tank for her. |

that's a good question...whales are social animals and rarely survive in the wild on their own...

First just a quick message to Admin Dru, Im sorry i was not sure if the photo's were allowed and I dont know how to make them smaller.
Xengab1, yes it is very possible if they slowly adapter her back into the wild, kept her is a "sea pen" making sure she is slowly able to live in the wild again. The place where she lives has been saying they will build a bigger tank since 1978, and in fact they did build a bigger tank but not for Lolita, it was for the swim with our dolphin program, it seems all they care about is making money.
